As a fictional narrative about the storytelling process, this film begs the question: what drives aspiring filmmakers? In “Writing Roses,” the main character discovers that life experiences are the true inspiration behind his stories. Write what you know! Released in 2007, “Writing Roses” was the very first project completed during Jason’s freshman year as an undergraduate film student.
